ALL POWER BELONGS TO GOD: WORDS OF WISDOM WITH PASTOR MESO DICKSON

post-title

Bible verse: God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this, that power belongeth unto God. Psalm 62:11

LIFE  POINT:

Beloved, the psalmist declares with conviction: “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this, that power belongeth unto God.” This is not mere poetry it is a divine revelation repeated for emphasis. When God speaks once and it echoes twice, it means the matter is settled. Heaven is reminding us: there is no power outside of God.

In a world where people chase influence, wealth, political authority, and spiritual dominance, this scripture calls us back to truth: God is the sole source and owner of all power.

When He speaks, it is final. His word does not need repetition to be valid but He allows us to “hear it twice” because of our human weakness and tendency to forget.

Just as God declared in Genesis “Let there be light,” and light appeared, so His word carries creative and sustaining power.

The  lesson is if God has spoken concerning your life, your destiny is not in question it is in motion.

The Revelation of repetition “Twice have I heard this”

Why twice?  Because God wants this truth to sink deep into our spirit. Life’s pressures can make us think power lies in connections, governments, or even enemies.

But scripture reinforces again and again. In Daniel, God removes kings and raises others. In Isaiah, He declares, “I am God, and there is none else.”

When God repeats something, it is because we will need it in moments of doubt and crisis.

The Ownership of Power

“That power belongeth unto God.” This is the central truth: Power is not borrowed by God  it belongs to Him. Political power belongs to Him

Spiritual power belongs to Him. Economic power belongs to Him. Even the breath in our lungs is sustained by His authority.

When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He declared, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given unto me” (Matthew 28:18). This affirms that divine authority is absolute and unmatched.

If power belongs to God, then no situation in your life is beyond His control.

The Implication for Our Lives is to Trust God Completely.

If all power belongs to Him, why fear? Why worry?

What you cannot change, God can.  Depend on God Daily.  Stop relying solely on human strength. Prayer becomes your access point to divine power. Reject False Sources of Power

Many seek power in wrong places  manipulation, corruption, or ungodly alliances. But power outside God is temporary and destructive.

Walk in Confidence

If you belong to God, you are connected to the ultimate power source. You are not powerless you are empowered by Him.

A Warning and a Comfort!

Warning to those who abuse power will answer to God, because it belongs to Him.

Comfort to those who feel weak can find strength in Him. As written in 2 Corinthians: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Child of God, this is the message heaven wants you to hear again and again.

Power does not belong to men, systems, or circumstances , it belongs to God. So when life shakes you, remember God is still in control. God is still on the throne.  And His power has not diminished.

PRAYER:

My Father and my God I acknowledge today that all power belongs to You. Teach me to trust You, depend on You, and walk in the confidence of Your authority. Let Your power be made manifest in my  life, my home, and our nation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
