BIBLE VERSE: 2 Timothy 1:7. For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
LIFE POINT:
Beloved, fear is one of the greatest weapons the enemy uses to limit God’s people. Fear makes people doubt, retreat, and sometimes abandon the opportunities God has placed before them. But the Word of God gives us a powerful assurance: Fear is not from God!
The Bible says in Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.
God does not want His children to live under the bondage of fear. He wants us to walk in confidence, faith, and victory.
GOD HAS GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF POWER
Fear says, You cannot make it.
Fear says, The situation is too difficult.
But God’s Spirit gives us power to overcome.
The Bible says in Acts 1:8:
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.
Child of God you are not powerless! The same God who strengthened David against Goliath, Daniel in the lions’ den, and the three Hebrew men in the fiery furnace is still with you today. Romans 8:31 declares. If God be for us, who can be against us?
When God is on your side, you have the power to face whatever comes your way.
GOD HAS GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF LOVE.
Fear often makes us forget how deeply God loves and cares for us. But when you understand God’s love, you can rest even in uncertain times. The Bible says in 1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.
God’s love gives us confidence. We do not have to be afraid of tomorrow because our lives are in the hands of a loving Father.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
If God cares for the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field, surely He will take care of His children Matthew 6:26–30.
GOD HAS GIVEN US A SOUND MIND.
Fear brings confusion, anxiety, and instability. But God gives His children peace and clarity.
The Bible says in Philippians 4:6–7. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the result is the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
God wants your mind to be guarded by His peace.
Isaiah 26:3 says: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. A sound mind is a mind anchored in God’s promises rather than controlled by fear.
Beloved, I encourage you to reject the spirit of fear.
Fear may knock at your door, but you don’t have to allow it into your heart.
When fear comes, remember the words of God in Joshua 1:9: Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
David also declared in Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Child of God make these declarations today and always.
I declare I will not be controlled by fear! Isaiah 41:10
God has given me power! Acts 1:8
I am secure in the love of God! 1John 4:18
My mind is covered by the peace of God! Philippians 4:7
I will be strong and courageous! Joshua 1:9
The Lord is with me; therefore, I will not fear! Psalm 27:1
PRAYERS:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I reject every spirit of fear operating in my life. Your Word says You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Fill me with courage and confidence. Let Your perfect love cast out every fear in my heart. Guard my mind with Your peace and help me to trust You in every circumstance. I declare that I will walk by faith and not by fear. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
