And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8
LIFE POINT:
Beloved, we serve a God who does not relate to us based on our merit, achievements, or perfection. If God were to measure us strictly by our works, none of us would stand. Yet, in His infinite mercy, He chooses a higher way the way of grace.
Grace is God giving us what we do not deserve. It is His unearned favor, His unconditional love, and His divine help in our weakness. While the world operates on merit rewarding performance and punishing failure God operates on grace, lifting the undeserving and restoring the broken.
The Bible reminds us in Ephesians 2:8 that “by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
This means your salvation, your blessings, and your lifting are not earned , they are gifted.
Consider the story of the prodigal son in Gospel of Luke chapter 15. The son wasted his inheritance and lived recklessly. By merit, he deserved rejection. But when he returned, the father did not measure his failures he poured out love, forgiveness, and restoration. That is grace!
Many times, we disqualify ourselves because of our past mistakes, weaknesses, or shortcomings. But God is saying today: “I am not measuring your merit; I am pouring out My grace.” His grace reaches deeper than your failures and rises higher than your limitations.
Paul the Apostle declares in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” This means your weakness is not a barrier it is an opportunity for God’s power to be revealed.
Child of God the key lessons of this message is for us to understand that :
1. Grace Over Performance: You don’t have to strive endlessly to earn God’s love it is already given.
2. Grace Restores: No matter how far you have gone, God’s grace can bring you back.
3. Grace Empowers: It is not just forgiveness; it gives you strength to live victoriously.
4. Grace Overflows: When you receive grace, you must also extend it to others.
Stop measuring yourself by your past, your failures, or your limitations. God is not using your scorecard , He is releasing His grace. Where you are weak, He is strong. Where you fall short, He makes up the difference.
Walk boldly, not because you are worthy, but because His grace is sufficient.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your amazing grace that covers my life. I surrender every weakness, every failure, and every fear to You. Help me to walk daily in the fullness of Your grace, not trusting in my own strength but in Your unfailing love. Pour out Your grace upon my life, my family, and all that concerns me. And teach me to extend this same grace to others.
In Jesus’ name, Amen!
